A graduate of Sydney Institute, Andrew is a successful shoemaker both in Australia and internationally.  Andrew’s talents were quickly recognised and Andrew was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1996 to understudy at master craftsman shoemakers John Lobb of London and Paul Harnden of Brighton, in the UK.

Andrew now owns and designs for his own business, Andrew McDonald Shoemakers where all the footwear he produces is designed and made by hand using traditional techniques. Andrew exports his designs to Japan, Hong Kong, France, the United Kingdom and New Zealand and has received commissions for the films, Star Wars trilogy and Superman Returns. He has  also received commissions from celebrities and fashion designers.
